Welcome to The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club, featuring the world's best men and women amateur players.

Player Field:
20 countries from six continents, each country represented by their top two men and women amateur players. Many of these players are national champions and are the "stars of tomorrow" for professional tours worldwide. Former Spirit Champions include Lorena Ochoa, Paula Creamer and Brandt Snedeker.

Format:
Five competitions will be featured at The Spirit:
     International Team- combined best ball of the men's team and women's team.
     Men's Team- Best ball of two players (four ball stroke play)
     Women's Team- Best ball of two players (four ball stroke play)
     Men's Individual- Most holes under par.
     Women's Individual- Most holes under par.

Spectator Services:

• Parking and admission is free to the public (follow directions to public parking).
• Public concession will sell food and beverage.
• Course maps and pairing sheets will be provided.

• #9 green- this sporty par 4 will yield plenty of birdies.leaderboard by the green.
• #14 green- go for the green, 398 yard par 4 over Caney Creek
• #15 tee- 168 yard par 3 over Gator Cove.proceed with caution.
• #16 green- 218 yard par 3 over water, leaderboard by the green
• #17 tee- picturesque par 5 that can yield eagles
• #18 green- 499-yard par 4 over water to a well-guarded green with a false front.risk and reward at its best!
