Wanderlust: London Olympics

Not only is it Friday, but tonight the 2012 Olympic games kick-off in London, England. These rad Olympic sport posters by University College Fairmouth student, Alan Clarke have us pining for a last minute trip to the UK to watch the games in person.

Lucky for us, after more than a century Golf will once again be an Olympic sport at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero. The Rio 2016 Olympic site says:

"Golf was part of the Olympic Programme at the 1904 Games in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, when the United States and Canada were the only two competing countries. The proposed Olympic competition format for both men and women is a 72-hole individual stroke play tournament, and the player with the lowest score wins the gold medal. In case of a tie for either first, second or third place, a three-hole playoff will determine the medal winner."

Tell us: Are you excited about golf as an Olympic sport? What do you think of the proposed format? No matter what, we're pretty certain we will all be feeling wanderlust-y about Rio in four years!
