Whispering Pines General House Rules and Operating Policies 

Whispering Pines Golf exists for the purpose of serving the Members and Organizations that support the Spirit Golf Association.
 
All rules of the Club may be changed from time to time, at the discretion of the Management and Owner.  The Members of the SGA will be informed of any rule changes.
 
It is the responsibility of each Member to inform all guests of the Club rules prior to their visiting the Club.  The Management and Staff of Whispering Pines Golf Club have been given direct authority to enforce all Club rules.

Age Restrictions

  1. No children under the age of 7 years are permitted on Whispering Pines property.
  2. Children of ages 7-18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on Whispering Pines property.
  3. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to stay in the cottages.
  4. You must be at least 25 years of age or older to become a member at Whispering Pines Golf Club.​
Conduct
  1. Members of the Club are responsible for the character and conduct of their guests. A Member must accompany 
      their guests while on property.
  2. Harassment (sexual or otherwise) of Whispering Pines Staff will not be permitted. Harassment includes unwelcome sexual advancement, verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or similarly offensive nature.
  3. Language and jokes should be non-offensive around Staff and Members.
  4. Members or Guests shall not reprimand, demean, or curse employees.  Any misconduct or a complaint about any employee must be reported directly to the General Manager.

Dress Code

  1. All Members and guests at the Club must wear acceptable attire at all times. 
  2. Golf slacks or skirt; golf shorts that are at least seventeen inches long and/or cut four inches above the knee; men’s shirts must have a collar; women’s blouses must have either sleeves or a collar.  Shirts must be tucked in when on the golf course or at the practice facilities.
  3. Denim jeans or shorts are not acceptable.
  4. Appropriate golf shoes are to be worn on the golf course.  Steel spikes and spiked heels are not permitted.
  5. Barefoot play is not permitted.

Guests

  1. A guest may use the Club only when escorted by a Member.
  2. Any one guest may visit the Club a maximum of four times per calendar year.

Hours of Operation

To maintain operating efficiency, the Golf House will be open the following hours.  The Golf House will remain open beyond the 6:00pm time frame whenever golfers are present.

Spirit Hall
Breakfast: 6am-10:30am (Except Tuesday, starts at 9am)
Lunch: 10:45am-4:pm
Dinner: 6pm-10pm
 

General
  1. An Individual or Spirit Member may only bring a maximum of 3 guests per visit.  
  2. The course is open Wednesday through Sunday.
  3. All Members and guests must check in with the Golf Shop.
  4. Payment for golf is due at the time of check in.
Fishing and Hunting on Club Property
  1. Hunting is NOT permitted on Whispering Pines Property.
  2. Fishing is permitted for members and guests ONLY.
  3. Swimming is NOT permitted in the lakes.

Starting Times and Group Outings

  1. Tee time reservations must be made in advance.
  2. Caddie and dining arrangements must be made in advance.

Caddies and Carts

  1. Golf Carts are included in the price of the golf round.
  2. Caddie and Fore Caddie gratuities are additional to the cost of the round.
  3. Caddies are available on a first come first serve basis.
    •  Please make caddie reservations at least 72 hours in advance of tee time.

Rules Governing Golf Cart Use

  1. Maximum of 2 persons and 2 golf bags in each golf cart
  2. Operator of a golf cart must be 18 years old and with a valid Driver License
  3. Operator must drive responsibly, observe property/golf signage, and drive no closer than 30 feet from a green, ground under repair, water or any other hazardous area
  4. Any damage or personal injury caused by or to a golf cart while in use, the operatator will be responsible.

Locker Rooms

  1. Lockers are for day use only. All contents must be removed at the end of each day.
  2. The Club is not responsible for any items stored in the lockers or locker room.

Food and Beverage

  1. Food and Alcoholic Beverages may NOT be brought on property except for Wine, which must stay in The Cottages. No Alcoholic Beverage is permitted to leave the property.
  2. Members and Guests are responsible for Food and Beverage charges at the time of service.  All F&B charges are placed on the Member’s account. 
  3. The Club will not serve any alcoholic beverage to a person less than 21 years of age or to a person that is deemed to be intoxicated.
  4. Reservations are required for dinner service and must be reserved by 4pm the day of the dinner.
  5. Alcoholic beverages may NOT be served until Noon on Sunday.

Parking

  1. Park in designated parking areas only.
  2. Parking of automobiles for Members and guests is done as a courtesy.  The Club assumes NO responsibility for automobiles, damage to vehicle or property left inside.

Pets

  1. Domestic pets are not permitted on Club property.

Property

  1. Any Club property removed or damaged by a member or guest will be paid for by the member
  2. The Club is not responsible for members and gueste property on Whispering Pines premises
 
The Village at Whispering Pines

The Village at Whispering Pines and Directors Corner is the perfect destination for a golf outing with your friends and family, or corporate retreats. The cottages are professionally decorated and furnished to compliment the beautiful surroundings at Whispering Pines. With a variety of recreational activities, 
 
The Village: Six Cottages with 4 Bedrooms and Bathrooms, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Laundry Room. 
Directors Corner: Three cottages with 3 Bedrooms and Bathrooms, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Laundry Room.
 
The rates for the cottages are as follows:

  • One room guest suite…$300 per night (does not include kitchen, dining room and living area). 
    Sleeps a maximum of 2 people.
     
  • Three room cottage…$700 per night (two bedrooms upstairs, one bedroom downstairs, kitchen, dining room and living area).  Sleeps a maximum of 6 people.
     
  • Full cottage…$1000 per night (two bedrooms upstairs, two bedrooms downstairs, kitchen, dining room and living area).  Sleeps a maximum of 8 people.

 

The Village at Whispering Pines Rules and Regulations

Reservations

Reservations are accepted Monday through Friday.  A credit card will be required to confirm all reservations.
 
Cancellation Policy
 
Any reservation made inside 10 days of the reserved date must be cancelled 48 hrs prior to the reserved date to avoid charges.  
 
Guest Suite,  3 Room, or One Cottage  
  All reservations must be cancelled 30 days in advance to avoid a 100% forfeiture of funds
 
  Two  Cottages
 
  All reservations must be cancelled 45 days in advance to avoid 100% forfeiture of funds.
   
 

Check-in

Guests may check in no earlier than 1:00 p.m. the day of their reservation. 

Check-out

Guests must vacate their rooms and/or cottage no later than 11:00 a.m.
 
Limits on Cottage Reservations

Individual or Spirit Membership
  • May not book more than 1 Cottage per visit.
  • May have 1 booking from September 3- October 1. After October 1, members may not have more than 2 booking at a time.
Charitable or Corporate Membership
  • May not book more than 2 Cottages per visit.
  • May have 1 booking from September 3- October 1. After October 1, members may not have more than 2 booking at a time.

Age Restrictions
No person under the age of 18 is permitted in the cottages.
 
Maximum Occupancy
Cottages may only be occupied by a maximum number of people equal to the number of beds in the rented space.
