| Who: |
The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship will feature the world's best amateur golfers from 20 countries, representing six continents. Each country will be represented by its top two men and women amateur golfers, most of whom are national champions or finalists. |

| What: |
The primary competition will be the International Team title (combined men's and women's team best ball). There will also be men's team, women's team, and individual competition. The top three finishers in each competition following the 72-hole event will be awarded The Spirit commemorative medals. |

| Where: |
Whispering Pines Golf Club, located outside Trinity, Texas on a 300-acre wooded property bounded by piney woods and beautiful shoreline vistas will be the tournament course. Designed by Chet Williams of the Nicklaus Design Group, this 7300-yard layout was ranked 11th in the nation in Golf Digest's 2006 America's 50 Greatest Golf Retreats publication and #1 in Texas by the Dallas Morning News since 2006.
Camp Olympia, located adjacent to Whispering Pines Golf Club, will be the site of the International Village for all 80 contestants and 20 captains. This year-round nationally recognized camp features air-conditioned cabins and a wide variety of outdoor activities. |

| Schedule: |
Please note that the general public will only be permitted to attend the official competition at Whispering Pines Golf Club beginning Wednesday, November 4 - Saturday, November 7, 2009. |

| Parking: |
Designated parking areas have been assigned for Volunteers, Staff, Media, and the General Public (see attached map). Volunteer parking will be located in designated roadside areas at Camp Olympia. Please follow direction signage. Parking shuttles will be in operation from one hour prior to scheduled tee times through one hour after play concludes. |

| Tournament Facilities: |
Whispering Pines Golf Club Clubhouse: Access to the clubhouse will be limited to individuals with Tournament Sponsor tickets, Tournament Guest badges, Captain or Tournament Staff badges. Due to the size of the clubhouse, no contestants or volunteers will be permitted to enter.
International Pavilion: Access to the International Pavilion (located by practice range) will be limited to Contestants, Tournament Sponsors, Tournament Guest, Media, Captains, and Staff. Complementary food and beverage service will be provided.
Concessions: Located in the Clubhouse parking lot, this facility will serve a wide variety of food and beverage items (Tuesday through Saturday). There will be picnic tables located adjacent to the concession area for seating purposes.
Tournament Merchandise: Located in the west end of International Pavilion will be open to the public. Tournament T-shirts, men's and women's golf apparel, hats/visors, golf balls, towels, and much more will be available for purchase. |

| Entertainment: |
All other entertainment programs throughout the week at the International Village at Camp Olympia will be limited to participants and Tournament Sponsors, with the exception of the Saturday evening Carnival, which Tournament Volunteers are invited to attend. |

| Volunteer Uniform: |
The official volunteer uniform will be announced June 1, 2009.

| Volunteer Check-in/out: |
IMPORTANT: All volunteers must sign in at volunteer headquarters when they arrive for their shift. At the conclusion of each shift, the volunteer must sign out with the committee chair or shift captain. There will be no credit for the shift if a volunteer fails to sign in and/out. During tournament week, please call the Volunteer Headquarters at 936-594-6841 for any concerns. |

| Volunteer Food & Beverage: |
Breakfast will be served at the International Village at Camp Olympia Chow Hall from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
For lunch service volunteers will receive a lunch voucher. The lunch voucher can be redeemed at the public concession area at Whispering Pines. For those volunteers working on course (marshals and leader boards), your lunch will be delivered to you at your assigned hole. The lunch voucher includes choice of sandwich, chips, fruit or cookies and a soft drink.
Complimentary water and soft drinks will be available throughout the day. Volunteers are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages during their work shift. |

| Volunteer Benefits: |
All volunteers who work three shifts or more will qualify for a golf round voucher for Whispering Pines Golf Club. Volunteer chairpersons will provide actual shifts worked to the WHGA. |
